LAUNDRY SERVICES FOR LA FIRE EVACUEES & FIRST RESPONDERS

A note from Jesse:
Hi everyone. I am sorry to share that I have to halt our laundry service operations due to a death in my family. My school and work schedule has picked up (I am a master of social work student and also working with a human rights clinic), and unfortunately, it’s become too much to manage.

This idea started as just a single person (me) doing a few loads of laundry, and it grew to over 20 volunteers and over 95 loads of laundry carefully washed, folded, and delivered. At a time when morale and hope appear to be dwindling, Angelenos all over the city came together to help their neighbors. What a beautiful thing.

My deepest gratitude and thanks to Dominique, Chris, Zev, Karen, Sarah, Gina, Yvonne, Gabby, Stephen, Irina, Madeline, Jo, Punam, Julia, Rin, Amanda, Lisette, Kaylee, and anyone else who offered their help.

If anyone has the capacity to take over something like this, I’d be happy to show you the ropes and let the volunteers know about the opportunity. Please contact me using the form below.

What an honor it has been to work with amazing volunteers and serve our neighbors. My father, who just passed, lost his home to a fire a few years ago, so this experience has taken on a whole new meaning.

Thank you.

Your friend,
Jesse Collier
